Manual Therapy
Orthopedic Manual/Manipulative Physiotherapy (OMT) is aimed at the evaluation and treatment of arthro-neuro-muscular dysfunctions. The intervention procedures in OMT include a wide range of techniques: slow joint mobilization, joint manipulation, muscle stretching, functional massage, nerve system mobilization, passive stabilization, active stabilization, and exercises designed to improve endurance, strength, and muscle coordination, as well as the overall functional status of the patient. Some specific techniques in Manual Therapy include Mckenzie®, Mulligan®, and Maitland®.
